How Do I Know If a PT Goal Is Specific Enough?
A PT-related IEP goal is specific enough when the team can explain what is expected to improve, where it matters in the school day, and how progress will be measured.
The goal does not need to sound complicated. In fact, a useful goal is often easier to understand because it connects a student need to a clear target.
If you cannot explain the goal back in plain language, it is reasonable to ask the team to clarify what the goal means and how progress will be reported.
